Why we started Niche & Nest.

Niche & Nest is run out of Melbourne. We started it because the best places to stay in Sri Lanka are rarely the easiest to find. They're tucked into fishing villages, hidden behind old fort walls, run by people who care more about hosting well than marketing loudly, and buried among thousands of other listings on the big platforms, if they're listed at all.

So we go looking for them ourselves. Every property on Niche & Nest is personally visited or spoken with directly before it's added, chosen because it's a genuinely unique place to stay, an experience worth remembering, not just another room for the night. It's a small, curated list by design, not another open marketplace.
